
A meeting in the format of "Central Asia-United Kingdom" took place in London
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, participated in the ministerial meeting dedicated to issues concerning Central Asia and the United Kingdom. This was reported in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Colleagues from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as the UK Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, also attended the event.
Speaking at the meeting, Jeenbek Kulubaev noted that Central Asia occupies an important geopolitical position between Asia and Europe, possessing significant energy resources, a high human potential, and a developed transit infrastructure.
Regarding the sanctions imposed by the UK, the minister expressed concern over the possible negative consequences of unilateral restrictions on the trade, economic, and financial relations of Central Asian countries with the United Kingdom.
He added that Kyrgyzstan opposes the politicization of international economic relations and is open to constructive dialogue to find mutually beneficial solutions.
