"We are left without support, and we don't know what to do next when the money runs out," shared Erkingul Sharshenbekova, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, with the editorial team of 24.kg. She is stuck in the emirate of Ajman (UAE) due to military actions by Israel and the USA against Iran and the closure of airspace in the region.

She recounted that she had planned to fly out of Sharjah on February 28 with her elderly mother and daughter, but the flight was canceled.

The airline Air Arabia, from which they had purchased tickets, provided no information and did not establish contact with the passengers. People were simply kicked out of the airport, leaving Kyrgyz citizens with no choice but to stay there until two in the morning.

"The consul came and said, 'I can't solve anything either.' We were just given an address and told that we needed to pay $25 per person for accommodation. We had to carry the children in our arms and take a taxi to a dirty place. In the end, we had to find housing ourselves and managed to settle somehow," she recalled.

According to Sharshenbekova, they continue to live in hotels at their own expense, and no one from the authorities or the consulate has inquired about their situation.

"No one asks how we are managing, what we are eating, and whether we have enough money. We have been reaching out for two days with questions about what to do when the funds run out, and we are not getting any answers. The news reports that the embassy is visiting everyone and helping with housing. Perhaps this is happening in Dubai, but in Sharjah and Ajman, people are left to fend for themselves — everyone for themselves," she noted.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that there is no panic or concern among citizens in the Middle Eastern countries. According to them, the situation is under control, and a special headquarters is operating around the clock.

The military actions by Israel and the USA against Iran began on February 28 with numerous air and missile strikes on cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran attacked Israel and American bases in several Middle Eastern countries. After the initial strikes, US President Donald Trump announced the start of the military operation "Epic Fury" in his address to the nation.

During the conflict, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as several high-ranking officials, were killed.

The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East continues, as do missile strikes from both sides. The closed airspace has left tens of thousands of people in a difficult situation.
