What happened?
Arjuna Tsydenzhapova, a resident of Chita, stated that around 200 people have been affected by the company's actions. This is only those who are part of messenger groups; the actual number may be much higher. She explained: "You are probably aware that there have been difficulties at the border: Russia closed 'grey' imports, and Kazakhstan has tightened control. Previously, goods from China passed through Kyrgyzstan, where duties were paid, and then headed to Russia via Kazakhstan. By September, over 7,000 trucks had piled up at the Kazakhstan-Russia border, and many companies began to cautiously accept cargo. During this time, 'RossCargo' announced the launch of express delivery, assuring people of their own route and queue. The first cargo did indeed arrive in Russia, and the company continued to accept goods," she noted.
According to Tsydenzhapova, she sent 500 kg of goods by air freight, which arrived in just a few days, while the remaining 700 kg was sent through "RossCargo."
She added: "A company representative, Iskender, assured that everything was fine and that the cargo would be delivered in 15-20 days. However, on October 14, I handed over 700 kilograms, and a month later, the goods were still missing. I started calling and writing. An employee, Daniel, responsible for customer relations, initially explained that the truck had gone the wrong way and then returned, but in reality, the cargo had been sitting in their warehouses all this time, dirty and in poor condition. Other women received their spoiled goods a month later. Now, people who sent their cargo in September and October still cannot find it, and December is already here. The company ignores inquiries, does not answer calls and messages, and comments under their posts on social media are closed. This is just terrible! They collected all these goods but are not trying to deliver them," she stated.
Tsydenzhapova reminded that Russia extended the deadlines for simplified import of goods until December 25.
She also noted that the company had the opportunity to turn back the sent trucks, if there were any. If the cargo does cross the border, entrepreneurs are forced to fly to Moscow from the regions where the deliveries were supposed to arrive to find their goods and personally visit warehouses. Meanwhile, senders are not notified if the goods are at a warehouse in Bishkek or Moscow. "This is so irresponsible and negligent!" Arjuna exclaimed.
Recently, she visited the company's office in Bishkek to sort out the situation.
“I walked in, and the employees were sitting there, cracking seeds. They laughed and said, 'Well, if you want, go ahead and give us bad publicity, let’s hype it up.' I spent three hours in their office and saw not a drop of regret from their side. One of the employees, who had previously responded to my message, claimed he had quit, yet he was sitting in the office. People are suffering huge losses because of their actions. The season has already passed, and everyone had seasonal goods. For me, for example, I have no money to pay my employees and rent. So many people found themselves in this situation. If they couldn't deliver the cargo, they should have said: 'We can't, we won't take it, we won't promise.' But they openly advertised on Instagram that everything was fine," emphasized the entrepreneur.
Tsydenzhapova also added: "Now they are demanding payment four times higher for delivery. For what? For the fact that they took three months to transport the cargo and did not deliver it? It is unknown if they will even deliver it at all, and where it is located. Other companies also had delays, but they deliver cargo, while 'RossCargo' has a complete careless attitude and chaos in their warehouses. Even if the goods are in Bishkek, they do not release them," she noted, adding that the situation concerns not only citizens of Russia but also Kyrgyzstan.
Numerous similar cases
Entrepreneur from Bishkek Alibek T. told Kaktus.media that he also sent cargo through 'RossCargo' in September and October but has not yet received part of the shipments.“It is impossible to contact the management or accounting - calls and messages go unanswered, and no clear information is provided. We suspect that our goods are lost. The situation requires immediate intervention from the competent authorities,” he noted.
Irina Mukhanova from Omsk reported that her cargo has not been released since September 14.
“Previously, we sent goods through 'RossCargo' and had no complaints. This time they accepted the goods, although they could have chosen not to if they were unsure about the delivery. The value of the goods is 800,000 rubles! I waited, understanding that the situation was complicated. But then a chain of lies began: wait five to seven days, then seven to ten days. I wrote, begging them to tell me where the goods were. Later, they said they sent it to the wrong place, everything got mixed up, and they were looking for it. But three months have passed. On December 3, I submitted an online application to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the KR. In response, I was told that the company claims the goods are on the way. No one has investigated the matter. The final destination is Omsk, and according to the company, the goods are at the Ulyanovsk border. How is that possible? At the consulate in Omsk, they told me: 'Wait, we are checking.' I tried to call Moscow, Novosibirsk, Bishkek - silence. People are even paying money to find their goods! They fly to Moscow from other cities. There is no moral strength left. This is our business, our money, we live on these pennies, and this is how they treat us. They ignore us, do not respond, and if they do, they lie. If previously the delivery to Omsk cost 40 rubles per kg, now they demand 240-250 rubles. Why should we pay for goods that haven't even arrived? We are not ten or twenty people, but hundreds, and the company doesn’t care about us! Why are such unscrupulous companies allowed to operate at all?” the entrepreneur expressed his outrage.
Alena Kovalig from Krasnoyarsk shared that her cargo was processed by 'RossCargo' on October 17, and in December the company does not answer calls and texts, having closed comments.
“I have seasonal goods that I no longer need. December is the most selling month, and I have already lost it because of them! I am in a panic! This was my first delivery experience, and it turned out to be sad. Will this all go unpunished? They cannot deliver our goods, but they have the money and time to open a new company - NovoCargo. We found out that other companies, although with delays, still deliver cargo,” she shared.
