Currently, due to the suspension of flights, about 1,000 Kyrgyz citizens are in a difficult situation in hotels in Dubai.
"We have compiled lists of citizens, and our staff is working with hotel management to extend their stay without payment," the representative said.Among those in Dubai, there are 20 people who were unable to fly out due to transit flights, but accommodations have been arranged for them in hotels. However, two passengers were unable to find housing, as their airline is a low-cost carrier that does not provide such services. For them, accommodation was organized at the expense of the embassy.
There are 62 Kyrgyz citizens remaining on cruise liners, although this number may change. They will stay on the liners until March 7, after which a decision will be made regarding their future depending on the situation.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted that the large number of inquiries is causing difficulties in their work. Over the past two days, the consulate in Dubai has received more than 1,000 calls and requests from citizens.
