The commission will be given 10 days to conduct a comprehensive check of the quality of road works. As a result, recommendations will be prepared regarding the contracting organizations that have committed violations.
The mayor's office noted that strict measures may be applied to unscrupulous contractors, including being blacklisted. The issue of disciplinary responsibility for employees who made mistakes in monitoring and accepting completed works will also be considered, up to dismissal.
The heads of the four districts have been instructed to promptly correct the identified deficiencies as soon as favorable weather conditions allow.
“In 2026, the Bishkek mayor's office does not intend to cooperate with those contracting organizations that improperly fulfilled their obligations in 2025,” noted the deputy mayor.
Municipality representatives emphasized that the priority remains the development and improvement of road infrastructure. With the arrival of warm weather, it is planned to eliminate all deficiencies and begin the construction and reconstruction of new roads in the capital.
