How was permission for construction obtained?
In the village of Orto-Sai, located not far from Bishkek, the construction of an elite residential complex consisting of nine blocks has begun. Deputy of the Bishkek City Council, Zhanibek Asanbekov, raised concerns about possible violations and health risks for future residents.
The deputy questions: "How could the city hall, the Ministry of Construction, and other regulatory bodies grant permission for this construction?"
This project is not the only one raising concerns about safety for both future residents and those living nearby. Local residents have repeatedly expressed worries about construction work being carried out at the site of a quarry in microdistrict 12, where premium-class housing is also planned to be built.
