At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 4, Deputy Bolot Saginayev urged government agencies to intensify efforts to extradite Kyrgyz citizens convicted abroad. He emphasized that the state should not leave its citizens unattended, even if they have committed crimes.

Saginayev provided statistics: in 2023, 84 people were extradited, in 2025 — 234, and since the beginning of 2026 — 81. He also noted that convicts are often offered to participate in a special military operation (SMO) with promises of compensation, including monetary payments. In his opinion, many citizens who cannot endure prison conditions may agree to participate in the SMO.

To improve extradition efforts, the deputy proposed establishing a representation of the General Prosecutor's Office at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Russia.
