Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic announced that as part of the organized return of citizens to the country, two repatriation flights are being carried out from Jeddah — to Bishkek and Osh.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are 90 citizens on board the flight to Bishkek and 120 on the flight to Osh.

Both planes are already en route and, according to preliminary data, are expected to land in Kyrgyzstan around 16:00.

Based on the agreements reached, these flights will be operated regularly: three times a week — on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays to Bishkek, and on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to Osh.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that efforts for the safe return of citizens continue.

Air traffic in the region was interrupted following the attack by Israel and the USA on Iran on February 28. As a result of these actions, numerous airstrikes were carried out on cities and military facilities in Iran, to which Tehran responded with strikes on Israeli and American bases in various countries in the Middle East. In the first hours of the conflict, several high-ranking Iranian officials and military personnel were killed. U.S. President Donald Trump announced the start of the military operation "Epic Fury" in his address to the nation.

As a result of the conflict, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, along with about ten other high-ranking officials. His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, became the new Supreme Leader of the country.

Tensions in the region remain high.
