In response to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has opened a specialized headquarters that operates around the clock. This information was provided by the press service of the department.

As part of its actions, the consular department held an urgent meeting, during which direct communication was established with representatives of embassies and consulates located in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Turkey. The meeting provided information about current events. According to available data, there are no casualties among citizens of Kyrgyzstan, and there is no panic or concern observed.

Seitek Jumakadyrov, the director of the consular department, noted: “The headquarters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is functioning on a 24/7 basis. The situation in Saudi Arabia remains calm, airports are open, and regular flights continue, although some of them are delayed. In Qatar, the situation is also stable, and consuls are actively maintaining contact with citizens.”

He also added that in cases where Kyrgyz citizens are being evicted from hotels due to the expiration of their stay, consuls are working on-site. However, he noted that due to the high volume of inquiries, responses may be delayed, but reactions to requests are ensured.

According to Seitek Jumakadyrov, WhatsApp groups have been created for prompt information dissemination.

The situation escalated after the start of attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran, which began on February 28 with massive air and missile strikes on cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran attacked Israel and American military bases in several countries in the region. U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the start of the military operation "Epic Fury" in his statement following the initial strikes.

As a result of the escalation of the conflict, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as several high-ranking officials from Tehran, were killed.

The conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate, with ongoing missile strikes from both sides. Tens of thousands of people have been blocked due to the closed airspace in the conflict zone.
