Sadyr Japarov reported on the agreements reached regarding the evacuation of Kyrgyz citizens in the UAE, using planes from Oman.

On his social media page, the president noted that work is currently ongoing to return citizens to their homeland from Middle Eastern countries.

“Due to the flight restrictions imposed in the United Arab Emirates, we have reached an agreement with the authorities of Oman to organize two charter flights to evacuate 300 people. First and foremost, women and children will be evacuated. I urge everyone to remain calm and patient,” Japarov added.

The president also noted that upon receiving permission to carry out flights from the UAE, it will be possible to evacuate all remaining citizens within one day.

On the morning of February 28, Israel and the USA conducted strikes on Iranian territory. Donald Trump announced his intention to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.

In response, Iran began striking targets in Israel and other Middle Eastern countries where U.S. military bases are located. The strikes were directed at Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai (UAE), as well as Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

As a result of the American-Israeli operation, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed. His wife, Mansoureh Khojasteh, later died from her injuries.

Trump also stated that military actions in Iran would last about four weeks. A jihad was declared in Iran against the USA and Israel, with a pronounced refusal of any negotiations.

The conflict in the Middle East is affecting the global situation, including in Kyrgyzstan. Currently, thousands of tourists are stranded in the UAE. Contact numbers for embassies and consulates for Kyrgyz citizens abroad can be found here.
