Due to military actions in the Middle East, gas prices in Europe have increased by 50 percent, reports Meduza.

The reason for this rise is the suspension of operations by QatarEnergy, one of the leading global producers of liquefied natural gas, as a result of attacks from Iran, as reported by Al Jazeera.

In particular, wholesale gas prices in the Netherlands and the UK have risen by nearly 50 percent.

Today, Iranian drones attacked gas facilities in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed.

The conflict began on February 28, when Israel and the United States launched numerous air and missile strikes on military-strategic sites and cities in Iran. In response, Tehran attacked Israel and American military bases in several countries in the region. In the first hours after the attacks, high-ranking Iranian military officials and officials were killed. After the first wave of strikes, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the start of a military operation called "Epic Fury" in an official statement.

As a result of the attacks, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as about ten high-ranking Iranian officials were killed.
