The question of evacuation is not on the table: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on pilgrims in Saudi Arabia

The Director of the Consular Department, Seytek Jumakadyrov, stated at a press conference that pilgrims currently in Saudi Arabia have not raised the issue of the need for urgent evacuation.

According to him, approximately 6,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are currently in the country, most of whom are pilgrims.

“Everyone who came to perform Umrah is accommodated and under the supervision of the companies that organized their travel,” he added.

As of March 2, there are about 22,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the Middle East, mainly in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. At the moment, there are no casualties or those left without housing among them.

Since February 28, an attack by Israel and the USA on Iran has begun, involving numerous air and missile strikes on cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran attacked Israel and American bases in several countries in the region. After the initial strikes, American President Donald Trump announced the start of a military operation called "Epic Fury."

The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, along with several high-ranking officials from Tehran.

The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East continues, with missile strikes from both sides ongoing. Many people have found themselves blocked due to the closed airspace in the conflict zone.
