
Rustem Umerov, head of the Ukrainian delegation, noted: “We have entered a new stage of negotiations. The process is taking place in a trilateral format, after which work is planned in separate groups with subsequent synchronization of positions.”
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kremlin does not intend to make public statements about the progress of the negotiations. He added: “For now, there is no expectation of any messages. We do not plan them.”
These negotiations are the second in a row. The first round took place on January 23-24.
The American delegation includes U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
The Russian side is represented by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Igor Kostyukov, while among the Ukrainian participants is the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov.
