Prokopyev stated that the number of foreign patients in Kyrgyzstan varies depending on the time of year. In the summer months, when people are on vacation, the number of visitors significantly increases. He noted that during such periods, the share of foreign patients can reach up to 40% of the total number.
Patients come to Kyrgyzstan not only from neighboring countries but also from far abroad. The most common tourists are from the United Arab Emirates and European countries, including the United Kingdom. However, the main flow of clients consists of citizens from the CIS countries, primarily from Russia and Kazakhstan. In recent years, the number of Russians seeking medical services has been growing, while the number of Kazakhs, on the contrary, has slightly decreased.
Prokopyev noted that Russians learn about the possibilities of plastic surgery in Kyrgyzstan through various channels, but mainly this happens thanks to "word of mouth." For example, recently one of his patients came from England after hearing positive reviews from acquaintances who had already undergone surgeries in the republic. Social networks, such as Instagram, also play a role in spreading information about surgical services.
Among foreign clients, the most popular procedures aimed at improving body shape include breast augmentation, tummy tucks after childbirth, and liposuction. Rejuvenating procedures, including facelifts and blepharoplasty, are also in demand.
