Every year, the number of production studios engaged in film and video content creation in Kyrgyzstan is growing. This is due to a simplified tax system, where the tax rate is only 4%. This was reported by Almaz Tulekeyev, head of "Kyrgyzfilm," in an interview for Kaktus.media.

According to him, both local and international studios are showing interest in filming in the country. This year, Russian films such as "The Return of Mendys" and "We Are from the Future 3" were shot on Kyrgyz soil, as well as a project from Lenfilm. Additionally, Indian music videos and films, as well as projects from Kazakhstan and Iran, were created.

Tulekeyev noted that foreign partners prefer to work with local specialists who speak English, Turkish, and Chinese, as they assist them in organizing shoots and providing necessary services.

The natural beauty of Kyrgyzstan, such as Issyk-Kul, mountain peaks, pastures, and waterfalls, particularly attracts foreign filmmakers. "It is also worth mentioning the white butterflies, unique to our country. We are currently negotiating with a foreign company about filming dedicated to these butterflies in Talas, using animation and macro photography," he added.

Tulekeyev is confident that thanks to unique locations, tax incentives, and an increasing number of qualified specialists, Kyrgyzstan occupies one of the leading positions in the field of film production in Central Asia.
