The State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports commented on the dissatisfaction of citizens caused by the access restrictions at the Dolon Omurzakov Stadium.
The agency noted that these restrictions are temporary and are due to the necessity of adhering to technological requirements during the installation of the running tracks.
On nine tracks, the first layer of specialized coating has been laid, which must be maintained for at least one year, as prescribed by the technological process.
This condition is necessary to ensure the strength of the foundation and the durability of the coating.
The finishing layer of the coating can only be installed under stable warm weather conditions.
Additionally, it is noted that early use of the coating or violation of technologies may lead to its deformation and improper expenditure of budget funds.
The main works on the repair and reconstruction of the stadium were completed in 2024, and the facility was officially put into operation. Now it is necessary to complete the installation of the running tracks in strict accordance with established standards.
According to the agency, after the completion of the technological cycle and the installation of the second layer, the stadium will be able to fully function for sports activities and mass events. The agency urges residents to understand the importance of adhering to technologies to ensure a quality and durable result.
Recall that earlier, residents of Bishkek expressed confusion regarding the access restrictions to the sports facility and even initiated a petition on social media.
