Korea to allocate $10 million for the upgrade of the water supply system in the city of Osh

Today, a meeting took place between the mayor of Osh, Janarbek Akayev, and representatives of the Korean company K-water, which is a leader in water resource management. This fact was announced by local authorities.

During the negotiations, key aspects of the project related to the intelligent management of the city's water supply were discussed. The total amount needed for the implementation of the initiative is $10 million, which will be allocated as a non-repayable grant.

The project includes the modernization of the Ozgur water treatment plant and the transition of the city's water supply system to modern digital and "smart" technologies. The parties also discussed the need to enhance the organizational and operational capabilities of the institution, staff training, and infrastructure renewal. The statement emphasizes that an agreement has been reached on the joint implementation of the project and further long-term cooperation.




This initiative will contribute to the modernization of the water supply system in Osh, ensuring more efficient use of resources and improving the quality of service for the population.
