About 20 percent of small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan are managed by women

According to forecasts, by 2027 women will occupy at least 30% of positions in the personnel reserve for leadership roles

At a recent meeting with the female staff of the Presidential Administration, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev congratulated those present on the upcoming International Women's Day. This was reported by the government press service.

In his address, the Prime Minister noted that this holiday symbolizes deep respect for women, who have always been the cornerstone of Kyrgyz society.

“This day is not just a mark on the calendar, but an expression of reverence. Every woman — whether a mother, sister, or daughter — deserves the warmest care and appreciation. In our culture, it is customary to consider a man as the support of the home and protector of the people, while a woman is the guarantee of well-being and the foundation of the nation,” emphasized Adylbek Kasymaliev.

He also cited data from the National Statistical Committee, which confirms that the contribution of women to the economy of Kyrgyzstan is growing.

Currently, about 20% of small and medium-sized businesses in the country are managed by women.

Women hold leading positions in fields such as education, digital technologies, manufacturing, and trade.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister noted that by 2027, at least 30% of positions in the personnel reserve for leadership roles will be allocated to women.

Additionally, by 2030, it is planned to achieve full 30% representation of women in leadership positions across all state and municipal institutions.
