Kyrgyzstan and Japan Discussed Support for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises

A meeting took place in Bishkek where Deputy Minister Benazir Nurlanova met with representatives of Japanese financial organizations and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). According to the Ministry of Economy, issues of state policy regarding support for small and medium-sized businesses, the development of financial support mechanisms, and the role of the Kyrgyz Guarantee Fund in improving entrepreneurs' access to loans were discussed.

The Kyrgyz delegation shared its efforts to create a Support and Development Program for small and medium-sized enterprises until 2030, aimed at improving the business environment and expanding access to financial resources for entrepreneurs.

The Japanese side shared its experience in credit guarantees, emphasizing their importance for small and medium-sized enterprises' access to bank financing, especially for new entrepreneurs and those companies that do not have sufficient collateral.

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed a desire to continue cooperation and exchange experiences in supporting small and medium-sized businesses.
