A minor student was studying methods of attacking teachers and students at one of the capital's schools.
The State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan (GKNB) reported the prevention of a potential armed attack at one of the schools in Bishkek.
GKNB specialists, in collaboration with international partners, identified a teenager who was exploring the possibility of carrying out an attack on the educators and students of the educational institution.
In connection with the incident, a criminal investigation has been initiated under Article 252, Part 1 "Threat of committing an act of terrorism" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Experts noted that there has been an increase in cases of religious radicalization among youth recently.
In this regard, they urged parents and educators to conduct regular conversations with children and monitor their interests on the internet and other open information sources.
