
This decision was made to ensure the food security of the country.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has established a temporary moratorium on the export of agricultural animals, including cattle, sheep, goats, and horses. This information was released by the government press service.
The signed resolution was approved by the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The duration of the temporary ban is six months, and it applies to the export of the specified animals outside the country. However, there are certain exceptions:
– transit through the territory of Kyrgyzstan;
– sport horses participating in competitions;
– horses intended as gifts to foreign states, international organizations, or private individuals;
– live cattle exported by the state operator — the open joint-stock company "Kyrgyz Agrohholding," except for animals raised in Kyrgyzstan;
– horses exported on international flights.
The statement emphasizes that this document has been adopted to ensure food security and stabilize prices for food products in the country.
