Drivers fined in Bishkek. Their cars were polluting the air.

Employees of the Bishkek Regional Office of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service, together with representatives of the State Environmental Protection Agency, conducted checks on vehicles for exceeding pollutant emission standards. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

During the raid, two vehicles were found whose emissions exceeded the permissible levels by more than 50 percent.



“As a result of the checks, protocols were drawn up in accordance with the Code of Offenses. The total amount of fines amounted to 15,000 soms. Such raids are conducted regularly to improve air quality in the capital, reduce pollution levels, and increase environmental responsibility among vehicle owners,” the message notes.
