The first online broadcast of court hearings, including the consideration of a criminal case related to domestic violence, took place at the Sverdlovsk District Court in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court.

The event was attended by Aman Jumaliev, Deputy Head of the Supreme Court Apparatus, and Aibek Aydarov, Deputy Minister of Justice.

It is important to note that amendments have been made to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, defining concepts such as "video conferencing" and "online broadcast of court hearings." It is now legally guaranteed that the accused and other participants in the process have the right to familiarize themselves with the minutes of the hearings, including audio and video recordings, as well as the opportunity to submit comments on them.

An option has also been introduced to submit petitions for holding hearings using video communication or live broadcasts via television, radio, and the internet.

These measures aim to increase the transparency of justice, strengthen public trust in the judicial system, as well as ensure openness and improve legal culture among the population. They allow citizens to remotely follow real judicial practices, discipline participants in the process, and contribute to the simplification and accessibility of justice.
