From March 2 to March 8, Kyrgyzstan registered 6,576 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, according to information provided by the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

Experts note that compared to the previous week, the incidence rate has decreased by 14.7 percent.

Of the total number of cases, 65.9 percent are children under 14 years old, which corresponds to 4.3 thousand cases.

Epidemiological monitoring of severe acute respiratory infections and influenza-like illnesses continues in Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok.

Medical professionals strongly recommend that the population follow preventive measures, avoid crowds, and refrain from self-medication, instead seeking medical attention at local clinics at the first signs of symptoms.
