In Kyrgyzstan, 14.6 thousand cases of ARVI and influenza recorded in a week

From January 19 to 25, Kyrgyzstan reported 14,607 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, as reported by 24.kg citing the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

Specialists noted that compared to the previous week, the number of sick individuals decreased by 7.9 percent.

Among the sick, 72.4 percent are children under the age of 14.
Medical workers continue to monitor the situation with severe acute respiratory infections and influenza in Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok.

Doctors strongly recommend that the population adhere to preventive measures, avoid crowds, and refrain from self-medication, instead seeking help at local clinics at the first signs of illness.
