In Bishkek, checks of vehicles for compliance with environmental standards continue.

On March 9, employees of the Ministry of Natural Resources, in cooperation with the State Environmental Protection Service, conducted a raid aimed at identifying vehicles with critical emission levels.

During this inspection, two cases were recorded where the pollution levels exceeded permissible norms by more than 50%. Reports were drawn up against the drivers who violated the rules under Article 234 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic. In total, they were fined 15,000 soms.

The agency emphasizes that such checks have become regular as part of a strategy to improve the environmental situation in Bishkek, and strongly recommends that drivers monitor the technical condition of their vehicles.
