
The national project "Zhasyl Muras" is being implemented in the country.
According to the "Zhasyl Muras" initiative, the planting of 9 million tree seedlings is planned in Kyrgyzstan by 2026. This information was announced by government representatives.
According to local authorities, 3 million 820 thousand 663 seedlings have already been planted in the republic, covering an area of 3 thousand 250.6 hectares. In addition, regular care and watering of the planted trees is being carried out.
In 2025, as part of this same campaign, 8 million 239 thousand 915 seedlings were planted across the country on an area of 6 thousand 420 hectares. The survival rate was 74.5 percent.
Among the planted trees, one can find species such as poplar, elm, birch, oak, walnut, pistachio, almond, apple, apricot, Tian Shan fir, pine, juniper, mulberry, and many others.
