During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Gulya Kozhokulova claimed that the actions of the GKNB employees could influence judges' decisions and called for an end to such practices.
In response, the president stated that similar situations did indeed occur in the past, but that things have changed now.
“That no longer exists. Each agency — GKNB, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutor's Office — operates within its own sphere. Previously, we observed how the head of the department of the Presidential Administration combined the roles of prosecutor and judge. But that is in the past. I clearly warned: if anyone repeats the mistakes of previous years, it could lead to imprisonment,” the president emphasized.
Sadyr Japarov also added that currently, appeals to the courts occur only in cases concerning the state, while there is no interference in civil and other matters.
He noted that he maintains constant contact with many judges, and if they face pressure, they immediately inform him about it.
