The agency denied rumors that the salary increase would only apply to educators working with STEM disciplines, while teachers of history, the Kyrgyz language, and geography would remain unchanged. There are also no plans to reduce the number of teaching hours for these subjects.

It was previously reported that the salaries of education workers would increase by 100% from the current level.
According to the president, the average salary of teachers in the country is 26,000 soms, but after the increase on April 1, 2026, it will reach approximately 40,000 soms. In remote areas, teachers with higher education, who currently earn 65,800 soms, will receive about 80,800 soms.
The minimum salary for a teacher in Kyrgyzstan currently stands at 12,000 soms, while the maximum is 72,000 soms.
The amount of salary depends on the level of education, region, teaching load, as well as the presence of additional payments for class supervision and grading notebooks.
