To date, 607 families have signed social contracts, of which 341 projects are focused on agriculture.
The acceptance of applications continues.The ministry clarified that in 2026, 13,333 low-income and needy families will be able to receive 150,000 soms each under this program.
The "Social Contract" program, aimed at assisting low-income and needy families, was initiated by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and launched in 2022.
Initially, the amount of social assistance was 100,000 soms, but starting in 2025, it was increased to 150,000 soms. Among the first recipients of the contract, 14 families achieved an annual income of over 1 million soms.
Interestingly, 94.2% of program participants are women, predominantly living in rural areas. As a result of implementing this initiative, more than 57,000 new jobs have been created.
