The territory of the Eastern Bus Station has recently been returned to municipal ownership. Previously, this plot of land was used by the "Drivers' Union" company, which had a parking lot for various vehicles.
According to the press service of Bishkek City Hall, this territory was used without paying rent to the city budget.
Currently, the city hall has taken the necessary actions to reclaim the land. The "Drivers' Union" company has provided a commitment to dismantle all structures on the site within three days.
At present, the area is being cleared of vehicles, and work is underway to dismantle the fences.

In the future, it is planned to reconstruct the Eastern Bus Station to adapt it for the operation of taxis and minivans heading to the cities of Kemin, Kant, and Tokmok.
As part of the upcoming works, the area will be completely paved, outdoor lighting will be installed, road markings will be made, and necessary road signs will be placed.
