At this meeting, the issue of ratifying the agreement for the construction of a new campus of KRSU in the village of Baytik was also discussed. During the discussion, Deputy Saltanat Amanova voiced concerns from teachers reporting a reduction in their earnings.
In response, Sergey Volkov denied such rumors, noting that:
“Starting in 2024, the salary base will be increased threefold. Currently, the minimum salary at the university is 28,000 soms, the salary of a professor is 60,000 soms, and the head of the department is 70,000 soms. We also plan to raise salaries taking inflation into account this year,” the rector added.
