According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on March 14, a special evacuation flight brought 142 Kyrgyz citizens back home from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar. In addition, 24 people returned via Istanbul with the help of the ministry.

After the situation deteriorated in several countries in the Middle East, where about 22,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were located, President Sadyr Japarov issued an order to ensure their safety and organize evacuation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that, given the ongoing tension in the region, extensive work was carried out to inform citizens about the possibilities of returning, ensuring their safety, and organizing departures from unsafe areas.

A total of five special flights were conducted, allowing 592 people to return home from Riyadh, Dubai, and other countries, including Kuwait and Bahrain.

Additionally, over 3,000 Kyrgyz citizens used regular flights to return home.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges those who are still in the Middle Eastern countries to consider returning home as soon as possible and advises against traveling to the region until the situation stabilizes.

The main transit points for flights to Kyrgyzstan remain Riyadh and Jeddah. It is possible to reach Saudi Arabia by ground transport or regional flights, and then fly to Bishkek with Flydubai, Pegasus Airlines, Flynas, Turkish Airlines, and other airlines.

The ministry emphasizes that the safety and protection of the rights of Kyrgyz citizens remain a priority of state policy.
