A special flight departed from Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to Bishkek, carrying 166 citizens of Kyrgyzstan. This operation was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the second phase of returning compatriots from the Middle East at the direction of President Sadyr Japarov.

It became known that Kyrgyz citizens arrived in Saudi Arabia from Qatar via a safe corridor and underwent all necessary pre-flight procedures.

At the moment, the plane has already set off on its way to the destination.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that they continue to coordinate actions to organize a meeting with the arriving citizens and provide them with the necessary assistance.

Additional information will be published after the flight lands at Manas International Airport.

At the same time, on February 28, Israel and the United States conducted strikes against Iran. Donald Trump announced his intentions to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.

In response to these actions, Iran began attacking facilities in Israel and in other countries of the Middle East where American military bases are located. The strikes targeted Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai (UAE), as well as Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

As a result of the American-Israeli attack, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed. His wife, Mansure Khodjasteh, also died from her injuries.

Donald Trump stated that military actions in Iran would last about four weeks. Iran, in turn, declared jihad against the USA and Israel, emphasizing the lack of possibility for negotiations.

The complex situation in the Middle East also affects other countries, including Kyrgyzstan. Due to the conflict, thousands of tourists have been stranded in the UAE. Contact numbers for embassies and consulates for Kyrgyz citizens abroad can be found here.
