The flight from Osh to Kuwait City, intended for Kyrgyz citizens traveling for Umrah, departed from Namangan Airport in Uzbekistan after several delays. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

There were reports on social media that Kyrgyz citizens had been waiting a long time for their flight at Namangan Airport.

The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan was actively addressing this issue, working with the administration of Namangan Airport, the Jazeera Airways representative office, and the State Agency for Civil Aviation of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the airline, flight JZR668, which was supposed to operate on January 5-6, 2026, was delayed due to adverse weather conditions.

On January 6, Kyrgyz citizens were transported by buses to Namangan Airport. However, due to unfavorable weather, the flight was also postponed on January 6 and 7. As a result, Jazeera Airways provided accommodation for all Kyrgyz citizens at a hotel in Namangan.

On January 8, passengers returned to the airport, and at 13:09, the flight successfully departed for Kuwait City.

The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan closely monitored the situation and maintained communication with citizens until all issues were resolved, as noted in the official statement.
