As part of the new seventh freedom of the air policy being implemented in the free trade port of southern China, Hainan has launched its first regular flight. It was operated from Sanya Phoenix International Airport to Prague, as reported by TASS agency.
It became known that flight DV481, operated by the Kazakh airline Scat Airlines, departed on December 21 at 08:05 local time. The opening of the Sanya - Prague route is a significant step towards increasing the aviation openness of Hainan and strengthening its position as an international transport hub.
According to the principle of the seventh freedom of the air, an airline from one country has the right to carry passengers and cargo between two foreign states without landing in its home country. The implementation of this policy in Hainan allows foreign airlines to operate flights through this province to third countries and regions.
The new route will be serviced by a Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft and will operate once a week in both directions.
