The aircraft carrier "Fujian" is equipped with three electromagnetic catapults, allowing it to launch fighter jets similar to the American "Gerald Ford" class carriers. However, unlike them, this ship uses a traditional power plant, which reduces its autonomous sailing capabilities.
Despite the fact that China is still lagging behind the U.S. in naval aviation, the country is actively developing testing and deployment of carrier-based aviation. Experts emphasize that with the increasing threats from strike drones and anti-ship missiles, aircraft carriers are becoming more vulnerable; however, Beijing continues to view them as a key element of strategic deterrence.
