According to information from the National Investment Agency, the construction of the city will be carried out in stages with the involvement of private construction companies.
Ravshan Sabirov, the head of the agency, reported that one construction company has been allocated 100 hectares, while another has been allocated 80 hectares. “We are open to all construction companies. The conditions for participation in the project are the same. Those who want to implement their ideas and projects are invited to contact the Asman Directorate,” he added.
It was previously reported that the company Elite House received 100 hectares for development, while a Chinese firm, selected as the general partner of the project, was allocated 50 hectares.
Asman is planned to be a modern city with developed infrastructure, residential areas, recreational spaces, and the implementation of innovative management technologies.
In 2023, President Sadyr Japarov laid a capsule for the construction of this environmentally friendly city, which will be able to accommodate between 500,000 and 700,000 people. However, the implementation of the project was temporarily suspended due to proposals from international partners to make changes for the creation of a "green city," which required time for concept refinement. As a result, the government decided to terminate the agreement with the investors.
The company Elite House is associated with businessman Timur Faiziev, who was detained in Bishkek in 2021 on suspicion of corrupt activities.
