On March 2, the Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, Adilet Orozbekov, held an operational meeting with the heads of various law enforcement and security agencies to discuss the current situation in the Middle East. The meeting was organized in response to events threatening the safety of the country's citizens.

During the discussion, emphasis was placed on the need to ensure the safety of compatriots who found themselves in the conflict zone and on plans for their swift return to their homeland. Orozbekov highlighted the importance of round-the-clock monitoring of the situation in the region until it is fully stabilized.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was tasked with determining how many citizens of Kyrgyzstan are in dangerous areas, as well as developing measures for their temporary evacuation and placement in safe locations.

Additionally, it was emphasized that the hotlines operating under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its foreign institutions must function without interruption to provide necessary assistance and consultations to citizens.

Against the backdrop of these events, a new war has erupted in the Middle East: the United States and Israel launched powerful strikes against Iran, to which Tehran responded with missile attacks on Israel and American bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE. A state of emergency has been declared in the region, airspace over several countries has been closed, and the world's largest airport in Dubai has suspended operations, indicating the onset of a full-scale military conflict. This event has also affected the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as the closure of airspace and attacks on key airports led to mass cancellations of flights from Bishkek, leaving hundreds of passengers without the ability to depart or return home.
