In connection with the worsening situation in the Middle East, Adilet Orozbekov, Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, held an urgent meeting with the heads of law enforcement agencies, security forces, and other relevant departments.

During the meeting, important issues regarding the coordination of actions among state bodies were discussed, including the situation of Kyrgyz citizens who found themselves in the conflict zone. Orozbekov emphasized the critical need to take immediate measures for their safety and return to their homeland.

He also instructed to ensure round-the-clock monitoring of the situation in the Middle East until it stabilizes.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic was tasked with clarifying the current location and exact number of Kyrgyz citizens in the danger zone, as well as addressing issues related to their temporary accommodation in safe places and, if necessary, conducting emergency evacuation.

Furthermore, it is essential to ensure the uninterrupted operation of hotlines based at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in embassies and consulates abroad to provide emergency assistance and consultation to citizens.

“It is our direct duty to ensure the safety of our citizens, both in combat zones and at airports, where they may face problems due to the closure of airspace,” emphasized Secretary Adilet Orozbekov.
