At the meeting of the Health Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 17, deputy Gulnara Baatyrova raised the issue of patients in need of hemodialysis who neglect their appointments.

She pointed out that many of them worsen their own condition: "Some don't come for procedures at all, while others arrive in a state of intoxication and behave aggressively towards the medical staff. We need to reconsider the existing rules and include mentions of such situations," she emphasized.

Health Minister Damirbek Osmonov supported Baatyrova's opinion, adding that patients should undergo hemodialysis every two days. However, according to him, some come only once a week or even less frequently, which adversely affects their health. Osmonov also noted that there have been cases where patients insulted doctors and threatened them with physical harm.

The head of the Ministry of Health concluded: "They also need to recognize their responsibility."
