The winner will receive 100,000 soms
This year in Naryn, in honor of the Nowruz holiday, a competition called "Best Sumolok" will be held at the national level. The organizers of the event shared this information.
The competition will gather participants from all districts of the Naryn region, who will simultaneously set up 40 cauldrons to prepare the traditional dish.
The prize fund includes 100,000 soms for first place, 50,000 for second, and 30,000 soms for third. All teams will also receive consolation prizes ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 soms.
The preparation of sumolok will begin on March 20 in the "Tian-Shan" park in Naryn. The traditional process will be accompanied by a cultural program and various festive events.
