Finland has been recognized as the happiest country in the world for the ninth consecutive year
Finland continues to hold the title of the happiest country in the world, as confirmed by the data from the annual World Happiness Report for 2026.

In this ranking, Finland once again takes the first place, while Iceland has risen to the second spot, and Denmark rounds out the top three. Also in the top five happiest countries are Sweden and Norway.

Among the countries of the post-Soviet space, Kazakhstan holds the highest position, ranking 33rd.

Afghanistan, on the other hand, once again found itself at the bottom of the list, being recognized as the most unhappy country in the world for the ninth consecutive time.
