
The president highlighted achievements in the economy, infrastructure, and major projects
During the festive celebration of Nowruz, President Sadyr Japarov announced significant economic growth in the Naryn region over the past five years.
He noted that the region's gross domestic product increased from 18 billion soms in 2020 to 40 billion soms in 2025, representing an impressive 224 percent growth — more than doubling the figures.
The industrial sector has also undergone significant changes: the volume of produced goods increased 5.7 times during the specified period. Last year, 134 new facilities were commissioned, contributing to the creation of hundreds of jobs.
According to the president, projects worth 21 billion soms are currently being implemented in the Naryn region, which includes the construction of 143 facilities. Over the past five years, 51 social facilities have been opened, including schools, kindergartens, and medical institutions.
Great attention is also being paid to the development of road infrastructure. During the reporting period, 259 kilometers of roads were paved in the region, of which 135 kilometers were completed in 2025.
The president added that the "Tenir-Tuu" development fund receives 0.6 percent of the gross income from "Kumtor" since 2022. Currently, the fund has accumulated about 2 billion soms, which are directed towards social and infrastructure projects, as well as housing construction with mortgage lending.
In addition, 2 billion 382 million soms have been allocated from the presidential stabilization fund for the creation of a unique cultural center in Naryn.
