A Kyrgyzstani in the USA faces up to 28.5 years in prison for a fatal traffic accident

According to information published in The Commercial Review, Bekzhan B. has been charged in several incidents, including causing death by negligence in four cases. The investigation found that the accident occurred due to driver fatigue, speeding, and failure to maintain a safe distance.

According to the police, Bekzhan B. was driving a Freightliner truck on a road in Jay County. When the tractor-trailer in front slowed down due to heavy traffic, he was unable to stop in time, veered into oncoming traffic, and collided with a Chevrolet van.

Currently, the Kyrgyzstani is in custody, and bail has been set at $100,000. If found guilty on all counts, he could face a maximum sentence of 28.5 years in prison.
