M. A. was convicted of causing serious harm through negligence as a result of violating traffic safety rules and vehicle operation regulations.
According to the case materials, the driver of the "Subaru Outback" violated the rules by entering the oncoming lane, which led to a collision with a "Mercedes-Benz Sprinter." After the first impact, the "Subaru" again entered the oncoming lane, where it collided with another vehicle of the same make.
The first "Mercedes" after the collision entered the oncoming lane, where it collided with a "Toyota Camry," and then continued moving and collided with a "Toyota Voxy."
As a result of this incident, the following individuals lost their lives:
- driver of the "Mercedes-Benz Sprinter" - Sh. T., born in 1992;
- passenger of this vehicle - Zh. E., born in 1992;
- passenger - Sh. E. T., born in 2015;
- passenger - Sh. E. T., born in 2023;
- passenger of the "Mercedes-Benz Sprinter" - Zh. D. K., born in 1958;
- driver of the "Toyota Camry" - S. B. A., born in 1999;
- passenger of the "Toyota Camry" - N. A., born in 1996.
Passengers of the "Toyota Camry" A. G. A., born in 1985, and T. K. R., born in 2016, as well as a passenger of the "Mercedes-Benz Sprinter" T. A. N., born in 1994, sustained injuries of varying severity.
- According to the verdict of the Issyk-Ata District Court of the Chui Region, M. A. was found guilty under part 3 of Article 312 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Violation of traffic safety rules and vehicle operation, resulting in particularly serious harm through negligence." He was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and a two-year ban on driving vehicles; however, he was released under probation supervision for three years with a similar ban.
- The judicial panel of the Chui Regional Court altered the verdict, excluding probation but leaving the other parts unchanged.
