According to the collected evidence, in October 2024, Zhanibek, together with an "unidentified person," organized poker games in a rented two-story house. Players were admitted based on a special list.
Necessary conditions for the game were created on the first floor of the house: two specialized tables were set up, five decks of plastic cards were provided, and more than 500 chips were available. People were hired for monetary compensation to deal the cards, as reported in court.
The club's activities were interrupted by police officers.
- The Pervomaisky District Court found Zhanibek guilty under Part 1 of Article 41 and Part 1 of Article 219-1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (complicity in organizing and conducting gambling without a license). He was sentenced to three years of imprisonment in a general regime colony, with subsequent release from serving the sentence under probation supervision for one year.
- The judicial panel on criminal cases of the Bishkek City Court upheld the verdict without changes.
The judicial panel of the Supreme Court upheld the verdicts of the Pervomaisky District Court and the Bishkek City Court, rejecting the lawyer's cassation appeal.
