At the international competition "Media-Navruz 2025," which took place on March 24, Nazgul Abdyrazakova, working at the publishing house "Vecherniy Bishkek," took third place in the category "Our Common Great Victory."
This year, around 20 media organizations and independent journalists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia participated in the competition program. The jury evaluated more than 40 submitted materials.
Abdyrazakova's work was recognized for her contribution to covering the preservation of historical truth about the Great Patriotic War. Second place in the same category was awarded to Nuraiym Rysmambetova, a correspondent for "Sputnik Kyrgyzstan" radio.
The "Media-Navruz" competition is organized by the scientific and educational center of Altaistics and Turkology "Big Altai" of Altai State University and is held annually. Its goal is to support journalistic works dedicated to the history, culture, and scientific heritage of Turkic peoples, as well as to develop professional connections in the media environment.
The organizers of the competition noted that the quality of the works this year was high, which complicated the selection of winners and confirmed the international status of the event.
First place in the competition was awarded to Sergey Zyuzin, a special correspondent for "Rossiyskaya Gazeta," and Ayturgan Satieva, the editor-host of "Sputnik Kyrgyzstan" radio.
The award ceremony for Russian participants took place as part of the international scientific conference "Turkology in the Modern World: Trends and Development Brands." Awards for the winners from Central Asia will be presented during working trips by the center's experts.
Participants in the competition, in addition to diplomas and certificates of appreciation, will receive electronic certificates, and the best authors will have the opportunity to participate in scientific conferences and educational programs of the center, including the summer school for young Turkologists.
The competition continues to be a significant platform for uniting the journalistic community and promoting the cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.
