The second stage has been completed!
The motorsport season is coming to an end, but fans can still look forward to many spectacular competitions. In mid-October, another stage of the autocross championship will take place, and the day before, all driving enthusiasts were invited to incredibly spectacular races as part of the II stage of the "Gradus Cup" in the Gymkhana discipline. This type involves a mix of drifting and autocross. It also includes figure driving with speed elements, specifically more gentle turns, and thus the track is larger and the speed is higher. Gymkhana does not involve driving in reverse.
Various classes and generations of cars were registered to participate in the Cup, but they all shared one thing: the cars had undergone serious modifications, that is, tuning. The parking lot of the former "Gansi" airbase was perfectly suited for holding these competitions. On this day, spectators could witness a unique Drift show full of energy and excitement and even try their hand as a passenger in a drift taxi. Additionally, guests could visit an exhibition of exclusive cars. The audience strolled through the exhibition, where a considerable number of luxurious cars were presented, including the Nissan GTR R35 and Chevrolet Corvette C5.
No less interesting cars took to the start. The following vehicles impressed fans with their power and beauty: Toyota Mark 2 (90 body), Nissan Silvia S15, Mazda MX 8, Subaru Impreza STI, Toyota Soarer JZZ30, Toyota Supra A70, Toyota Celica T230, BMW E30. The legend of Japanese motorsport and automotive engineering, the Nissan Skyline GTR R33, was also showcased, stunning everyone with its beauty.
All participants demonstrated their driving skills in drifting, and the scent of burnt rubber filled the air, with pieces of tires flying from under the wheels. The roar of turbo engines sparked a storm of enthusiasm among the visitors. The winner of the II stage in the "Mono Drive" category was Vladislav Smetanko (Nissan), while in the "All-Wheel Drive" category, Alexey Vedenyev triumphed in a Subaru.
