The Kyrgyzstan national team took first place in the team standings at the Open European Championship in mass wrestling, which took place in the Slovak city of Banská Bystrica.
According to information provided by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz wrestlers achieved the following results in individual competitions:
1st place:
Aziz Asanov – category up to 60 kg;
Bekmyrza Toktoshev – category up to 75 kg;
Bakyt Roman uulu – category up to 85 kg;
Ulukbek Yrysbaev – category up to 125 kg;
Elza Abdykadyrova – category up to 55 kg;
Saule Egizbaeva – category up to 60 kg;
Dilbara Imankanova – category up to 70 kg;
Eldana Bolotbekova – category up to 75 kg;
Ramina Kochkonbaeva – category over 85 kg.
2nd place:
Azamat Asanov – category up to 70 kg;
Janarbek Turdushov – category up to 80 kg;
Medetkan Esengul uulu – category up to 90 kg;
Abdel Esengulov – category over 125 kg;
Adema Kerimkulova – category up to 70 kg.
3rd place:
Daniyar Tursunbekov – category up to 70 kg;
Bekzhan Omuraliev – category up to 80 kg;
Erzhan Akylbek uulu – category up to 105 kg.
In addition, Eldana Bolotbekova became the absolute champion of Europe, defeating the reigning absolute world champion and tournament host Yana Vashkova in the final.
It should be noted that the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic competed at the championship under the guidance of the honored coach of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Ramatov.
